Camp W+F 2026 - Cabin Camping
Join us for Camp Wild + Free 2026! This event is being held at A.H. Stephens State Park at the Group Camping site from Friday, April 24 through Sunday, April 26, 2026.
Enjoy a rustic camping experience with all of your homeschool friends in the great outdoors! Stay in a sleeper cabin with your crew, which includes 4 basic twin beds. There are four shower houses on site (one in each “village”), and electricity is available in most cabins, as well as in the dining hall.
Enjoy food with your fellow homeschoolers in the dining hall, and use the industrial sized kitchen to whip up your meals.
Enjoy recreational activities and classes taught by fellow homeschool parents - or maybe even teach a class yourself! Interested in art? Handicrafts? Survival skills? Host a workshop! There will be scheduled hikes, water fun on our private lake beach, a sports/ field game tournament, and more.
We will be hosting both an outdoor movie night (Friday) and a talent show night (Saturday) by the lake.
Click the “Let’s Do This” button, fill out the questions on the form, and then head to “Cart” (upper right hand corner) and check out.
CABIN CAMPING DETAILS: The $140 gets you a camper cabin with four basic beds for two nights all to yourself. You can choose to put in other blow up mattresses, etc for additional folks, but just know that it would be tight quarters.
At this time, we are not allowing families to purchase just one night. We want all of our families to be there for the full two nights so as to have the full experience. We also don’t have a way to turn over the cabins (clean them, etc) after a family leaves to prepare it for another incoming family. Thank you for your understanding!
Bathrooms are not connected to cabins. There are four shower houses (one in each cabin “village”) on the premises with multiple showers and toilets that will be used communally.
There is no A/C, which is why we have chosen to go during the spring. You are allowed to bring fans for your cabin, but no A/C units.
Please know that this is a RUSTIC camping experience - not a fancy resort! Be prepared to see bugs and dirt!
It probably goes without saying, but definitely BRING YOUR HUBBIES! It is a full family event. We will have a few things on our schedule just for the homeschool Dads, so bring them along!
No pets are allowed on site, unless you have a service dog.
Cell phone service can be spotty in the campgrounds. However, a short drive down the road will provide you with service if you need it.
No meals are provided, so bring your own ingredients, etc to make your own food in the kitchen. A refrigerator and freezer are available for use on a first-come, first-served basis.
You will need to bring your own sleeping bag(s) for the beds, towels, and other necessities, as these will not be provided. It is rustic camping, after all!
Your registration includes up to two parking passes.
**Once purchased, refunds will not be possible, so please check your calendars carefully!**
